Key software streamlines communications specialists SCS service management.
The installation of Tesseract's Service Centre service management system is forecast to not only improve the management and control of Satellite Communications Services' field engineering team, but it is also predicted to produce a number of management benefits including improved reporting.
Based in Warrington, Satellite Communications Services (SCS) is a global player in the provision and maintenance of commercial satellite systems. With 29 engineers in the UK and over 200 worldwide, SCS offers a truly global service.
According to managing director, Mike Jeffrey, the browser-based Tesseract software was purchased to replace a customer database that couldn’t, for example, provide full traceability of contracts or stock.
“While Service Centre will provide that information as well as comprehensive reporting capabilities,” he says, “we’ve immediately seen how user-friendly the software is.”
